SUMMARY:
This workshop immerses your students into the world of the professional musician. In moments, your students will sight read and prepare a polished performance of special Disney musical selections in a “studio recording environment.” A professional Disney clinician will examine the skills, attitudes and priorities that are essential to musical excellence. This workshop culminates with a special recording of your ensemble performing music along with a portion of a Disney Animated Feature Film.

Disney Dancin
SUMMARY:
Disney Dancin’ allows your students to experience the life of a professional Disney Dancer in a fun, upbeat, and positive atmosphere. Students begin with a simulated Disney audition taught by a professional Disney dancer. Congratulations, you passed the audition! Now it’s time to learn how the magic is created. Your clinician leads your group through a simulated “rehearsal” of a Disney show. The workshop culminates in a very special mock performance incorporating all the necessary elements of creating a “Disney Magical Moment!”

Designed for dancers age 6-11, this 90 minute workshop starts with students examining memorable Disney dancing on film before moving into a quick warm up utilizing current skills. Now it’s time to learn how the magic is created as your clinician leads the group through a simulated “rehearsal” of a Disney show. The workshop culminates in a very special mock performance incorporating all the necessary elements of creating a “Disney Magical Moment”!

Disney Sings
SUMMARY:
“Disney Sings” immerses your group into the world of the professional vocalist. Students will learn audition skills, warm up and voice-over techniques as they experience a fast paced recording environment. They will examine the skills, attitudes and high expectations required for performance excellence. In addition, your group will record an excerpt from a Disney animated feature film’s soundtrack led by a professional Disney vocalist. Then, your students will experience the demands and exhilaration of live performance as they quickly prepare music and choreography for a “simulated” Disney show.

Disney’s Auxiliration
SUMMARY:
“Disney’s Auxiliration” gives your auxiliary/color guard the unique opportunity to rehearse and to perform a simulated Disney “special event” production. Following a high-energy warm-up, your students will learn valuable flag and movement basics. Next, in a fun upbeat atmosphere, students go through a mock Disney Audition. Congratulations, you passed the Audition! Now it is time to prepare for the special event complete with tall flag, swing flag and show props. Then, your students go through a fun-filled, Disney-style rehearsal. The workshop culminates in an exhilarating simulated performance incorporating all of the equipment and props the students have learned in a ‘final’ Disney Production number.
Disney’s Broadway Magic
SUMMARY:
Disney’s Broadway Magic combines the thrill of Broadway and the magic of Disney into a single workshop, giving students an inside look at theatre, music, staging, costuming and props, as well as the opportunity to perform material from a Broadway musical. This workshop was created by Disney Performing Arts in partnership with Disney on Broadway.
