Old City Hall

A walk along the “Freedom Trail” includes the locations of 16 historical sites that were critical in our nation’s struggle for freedom. Boston Commons, the oldest public park in the United States. The Old State House, Boston’s oldest building and location of the first reading of the Declaration of Independence, the Paul Revere House in Boston’s oldest neighborhood, the site of the oldest public school in America, and the Old South Meeting House where the launching of the Boston Tea Party took place. More than 1.5 million people walk the trail each year and discover our revolutionary past

Also included are the Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King’s Chapel and Burying Ground, Former site of the Old Corner Bookstore, Boston Massacre Site, Franeuil Hall, Old North Church, Copp’s Hill Burying Ground, The USS Constitution, Charlestown Navy Yard and Bunker Hill Monument.
