Sheriff Joe Perry is in and giving tours of this Sonshine Educational Tours student favorite. Built in 1891 by Henry Flagler, students will be captivated with the 19th century system of justice and punishment. The sheriff and his family lived adjacent to 72 prisoners. See the gallows which ended the lives of numerous criminals.
The Florida Heritage Museum, located next to the Old Jail, explores 400 years of rich Indian, Spanish and English history in St. Augustine. Henry Flagler, the Civil War, and Seminole Wars are highlighted.
